Welcome to the Wake County Chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina:

As one of the 45 Autism Society of North Carolina’s chapters, the Wake Chapter is unique in that it resides in the same county as the state organization.  While our missions are the same, the Wake Chapter is tasked with serving Wake County families and individuals touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder by providing educational programs, support groups and events.

Our Mission

The Autism Society of North Carolina‘s (ASNC) mission is to provide support and promote opportunities that enhance the lives of individuals within the autism spectrum and their families.

Our Vision

ASNC is a leading resource in North Carolina for connecting people who live with autism, and those who care about them, with resources, support, advocacy and information tailored to their unique needs.

ASNC strives to create communities throughout the state in which people on the autism spectrum and their families are empowered, supported and fully embraced by their community.

Autism Spectrum Disorders are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. CDC estimates that an average of 1 in 88 children in the US have an ASD. Within North Carolina, reported rates are closer to 1 in 70.
