The Wake, Orange/Chatham and Durham County Chapters of the Autism Society of North Carolina (a 501c3 nonprofit organization), represent more than 3,500 individuals with autism in the Triangle Area. Each Chapter is responsible for providing family-to-family support, social events, topic-based workshops and social groups for families in their county. Chapters are run completely by volunteers and all proceeds from any fundraising event go directly back into our communities.
Dine 4 Autism is not only a fundraiser for our region, its a way for our families to raise awareness about autism and share personal stories. We also want to reach out to families who might be beginning the diagnosis journey, their potential friends, family, neighbors, teachers, rescue workers and legislators to showcase our struggles and our strengths. Autism isn’t caused by one single factor or event, and similarly are our families are not all the same. Showcasing the stories of our lives help create tolerant, supportive communities and families that enrich us all.
